Melrose Pharmacy – Compounding Pharmacy Phoenix Arizona

Phoenix Compounding Pharmacy, Melrose Pharmacy was established in 2005 as an independently owned and operated pharmacy on the 7th Avenue curve in Maricopa County in Phoenix, Arizona. In purchasing the Wagon Wheel Building, owner Teresa Stickler recognized a unique opportunity to contribute to the rejuvenation of the area and to offer patients a level of personalized service that people just can’t find at chain pharmacies. In addition to providing superior service every day to each of the clients in Maricopa County, the pharmacy’s areas of specialty include:

Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy

Bioidentical hormone replacement therapy uses hormones that are identical in molecular structure and function to the hormones produced in the human body. Typically, hormone imbalances are treated with synthetic hormones. Bioidentical is a term, which means that no matter what the source, the chemical structure is identical to a hormone that human beings make in their bodies.

Bioidentical hormone replacement (BHRT) is not well known because no one can patent anything that is made by animals, plants, or in human bodies. Pharmaceutical manufacturers do not market natural products because there is no financial incentive for them. Just because large drug companies do not market natural products, does not mean that they are unsafe or ineffective.

The human body does not process synthetic hormones the same way it processes human hormones. There are few benefits to synthetic hormones, and many side effects. However, there are many benefits to bioidentical hormones and few side effects. There are many benefits to BHRT, which include prevention of osteoporosis and restoration of bone strength, reduction of hot flashes, reduced vaginal dryness, improved sleep, better moods, concentration, memory, libido, and improved skin.

Some of the symptoms that bioidentical hormones can improve include:

  • Hot Flashes
  • Night Sweats
  • Mood Swings
  • Low Libido
  • Foggy Thinking
  • Memory Lapses
  • Vaginal Dryness
  • Irregular periods
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Headaches
  • Bone Loss
  • Water retention
  • Weight Gain
  • Hair Loss
  • Prolonged Fatigue
